Our helmets bring together every kind of head gear a soft armor fighter reaches for, from full mask models built for buhurt to steel mesh fencing masks made for HEMA tournaments. You'll find closed visor shells like the Destroyer full mask helmet and the Colander visor, lighter training designs such as the Knight Visor Helmet, and printed favorites including the Dragon skin helmet, the Kawaii Helmet and the Venom Helmet. Beside them sit the quiet essentials: the inside helmet liner, the inner padding liner for a steel helmet and the fencing mask protector. Sizes run from a kids fit up to XL, and most models ship in eleven colors.

How to Choose Helmets

Start with your sport, because it sets the shape of the shell. For HMB, buhurt and soft sword sparring, our closed helmets use a 5 mm ABS plastic visor over a heavy-duty cloth exterior, with multilayer technical soft foam inside that soaks up mechanical impact. The Destroyer full mask helmet version 3 is built this way and weighs 1 kg. For historical fencing, the HEMA 1600H Tournament Fencing Mask uses steel mesh with a reinforced collar, a rubber forehead strap and removable inner padding you can wash after a session. It carries FIE certification and the 1600H rating, so it suits most HEMA tournament rule sets. Next, measure your head girth. Run a soft tape around your head just above the ears and keep it level. The Helmet With Neck Protection lists M for kids at 53-57 cm, L up to 58 cm and XL at 59-62 cm. The Knight Visor Helmet runs L at 56-58 cm and XL at 58-64 cm, and it weighs 900 grams. Sliding Velcro fasteners and neck straps fine-tune the fit once the shell is on. Then think about coverage at the back. The Helmet With Neck Protection, the Helmet Color Mix With Neck Protection and the Helmet With Neck Protection Pattern Design carry a padded tail over the neck base with sweat-absorbing inserts inside. That model measures 38 cm wide, 27 cm long and 2.2 cm thick at 1.130 kg, and it suits fighters from 8 years old. If you already own a steel helm, the inner padding liner for a steel helmet gives you a padded cap with a pelerine, breathable mesh lining and openings placed for chin straps. For additional coverage around the neck and collar area, you can also pair your helmet with dedicated neck armor.

Key Benefits

  • Even coverage. Closed models add elements over the neck and the top of the head, so you keep steady cover from every angle through a long round.
  • Light on the shoulders. The Knight Visor Helmet sits at 900 grams and the Destroyer full mask helmet version 3 at 1 kg, so your head stays free to move.
  • A fit you set yourself. Velcro fasteners and neck straps adjust the shell to your head girth, and an inside helmet liner takes up any spare room.
  • Comfort you can wash. The removable padding on the fencing mask lifts out and quilted liners rinse clean, so the inside stays fresh between training days.
  • Your own look. Most shells come in black, blue, yellow, red, orange, brown, gray, green, pink, white and purple, with bicolor and custom finishes on several models.
  • Room to add on. The fencing mask protector covers the crown and the back of the neck, with an optional plastic plate at the rear.
