Modeled on the medieval couse — the simplest form of European glaive — this foam polearm keeps the original's honest geometry: a knife-shaped head with a flat, beveled blade and no ornament to hide behind. The 42 cm (16.5 in) striking section teaches you where a polearm actually cuts, and the 150 cm (5') overall length forces the footwork and distance management that shorter weapons let you skip. At 0.905 kg (1.9 lbs) and 9 cm across, it handles closely enough to a halberd to serve as a training substitute for fighters building polearm proficiency.
